Does uninstalling delete my settings or recordings?

The product requirement is that uninstalling must preserve settings and customer data, but this behavior is not yet verified for the current 9.x series. Safety first: Back up evidence and configuration before uninstalling. Do not treat uninstall as a backup mechanism.
